O & J Car Repair Center is here to give you some helpful tips this winter for driving safely! Just follow this checklist to have your car winterized this season.

Checklist to have your car ready for winter

  • Inspect your tires tread. If you drive on bald tires (tires with no tread) that is already a dangerous situation to be in, but when the roads are hazardous this multiples the chances you being in an accident.

  • Make sure to fill your tires. Your tires air pressure should be filled to the optimal amount when driving, especially in snowy conditions.

  • Think about in investing in snow tires. If you live in an area that receives a lot of snow, snow tires can help reduce any risks while driving.

  • Replace your car battery if needed. Your car battery's performance decreases in colder weather. So make sure you don't get stuck somewhere because your using an older battery.

  • Check your heating system is working. The heating system is your way to protect your self from the outside weather, so don't get stuck out in the snow freezing in your car.
